We are looking for a dependable full-time Delivery Technician to pick up, deliver, set up and instruction of home respiratory and durable medical equipment (DME) for our Coralville, IA location.  NuCara Home Medical is Central Iowa's leading independent provider of Home Respiratory and Home Medical Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Home Respiratory and Durable Medical Equipment deliveries, set up and instruction.
• You will learn how to operate a variety of medical equipment, including home oxygen, hospital beds, and wheelchairs, how to educate patients and their caregivers on their proper use and how to troubleshoot.
• Communicate well with the patient and caregivers as well as with the store team to be able to provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist with other tasks designated by the store manager.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Delivery experience preferred
• Home medical experience a plus
• Must be able to follow directions
• Be detail orientated
• Basic competencies using a smartphone, iPad and desktop computer.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematic calculations which would normally be acquired through secondary education, or through equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• Good driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively deal with the public
• Neat appearance
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent navigational ability, familiarity with Iowa City/Coralville area and surrounding communities is a plus.
• Ability to lift, position and maneuver heavy loads from 50 to 150 lbs.
• Frequent squatting, bending and twisting.
