PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Accountant role is a key contributor to the financial health and operational efficiency of OneroRx, Inc. This role is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, detailed analysis, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. Experience or understanding of retail and healthcare/pharmacy accounting is highly beneficial. This is an in-person position based at the home office. However, frequent virtual collaboration with team members in remote locations is an essential part of the role.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement across pharmacy operations.
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas) to manipulate large datasets and automate reporting tasks.
  • Utilize modern productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and automation platforms to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to resolve accounting discrepancies, improve reconciliation processes, and support operational efficiency.
  • Support retail and healthcare-specific accounting needs, including inventory valuation, third-party reimbursements, and pharmacy-specific revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, IT, and compliance teams to ensure financial data integrity and alignment with business goals.
  • Assist in the year-end audit of financial statements conducted by the external accounting firm.
  • Review financial statements for variance analysis and communicate findings and explanations to management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and insights.
  • Research and record acquisitions and other complex financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct technical accounting research to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support departmental and organizational goals.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and U.S. accounting principles
  • Experience or familiarity with retail and healthcare/pharmacy accounting practices
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, generate reports, and present actionable insights
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite and Bill.com
  • Proficiency in Micrsosoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, macros) and other Office products
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and automation platforms (e.g., Copilot)
  • Experience and comfort using collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint for virtual teamwork and document management
