Full-time | Pay commensurate with experience | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Medicap Home Medical is seeking a full-time Service Coordinator for our Service & Repair department, based in Des Moines, IA. You'll keep our Home Medical and Complex Rehab service and repair work moving: taking service requests, scheduling technicians, gathering the documentation payers require, and making sure every work order is complete before it goes to billing.

What You'll Do

• Take service requests from clients, caregivers, and referral sources and verify patient information
• Verify insurance and obtain physician orders, prior authorizations, and medical records
• Schedule service technicians and create work orders
• Track open work orders through completion
• Review completed work orders for accuracy and payer compliance before sending them to our Billing Department
• Enter repair parts and verify HCPCS codes in our billing system
• Provide backup support to our Rehab Coordinator

What We're Looking For

• Experience in medical billing, home medical equipment, or complex rehab preferred, but we'll train a qualified candidate
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
• Excellent phone and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple requests
• Comfort with Microsoft Office; Brightree experience a plus
